Do housemartins return to the nest of their birth?

We have a housemartin nest which despite knocking it down every winter when they have left they keep returning and rebuilding, I just wondered whether it is the same adult birds, the young, or completely different birds and whether there was a way to find out?|||Sure you can catch em and have their DNA test but that's not particularly practical. What you are seeing is the same breeding pair return to the same nest sites year after year. This is why people build martin houses for them to have a safe place to return to.|||Housemartins often return to the same breeding area each year, and may select the same nest site if they were previously successful in that location.

First-year breeders generally select a nesting site close to where they were born and raised
