Should we continue to patronize Walmart, AT&T, the USPS and any other corporation which enjoys no competition?

Seems to me we are setting our American way of life up to be really knocked down by empowering these goliath corps to completely drive the competition out of business and to buy up other sectors as AT%26amp;T is presently doing (ie. Dish Network, Cingular, etc). After there is no real competition left, let's see what the real costs of those low prices Walmart's loves to tout. I've yet to see compassion in the Corporate American structure of business, where a "gross-profit" is just that... GROSS!! They just can't make enough money it seems.|||All of these entities have very competitive companies that offer similar services.

You should realize that in the long run it will come down to a very few companies ruling the markets.|||you left out your local power company - that provides your electricity|||All of the companies you listed have competitors except USPS.

Um, that's the Post Office.

("United States Postal Service". Ever heard of that?)

WalMart and AT %26amp; T are both in extremely competitive and changing industries.|||Walmart %26amp; AT%26amp;T have competitors, and the USPS is experiencing a huge downturn due to email, faxing and UPS, FedEx etc.

I tend to not shop at Walmart because they sell cheaply built stuff. The only way their suppliers can make any money is too cheapen up their products and quality.

And AT%26amp;T is just SBC with a new name. Since they screwed me years ago I will pay more money to do business with someone else.
