I have been a christian my whole entire life, but i was one of those christians who came from a family who never really seemed to care that much about going to church, so i knew about God, but with the way i was raised i never really understood what it meant to actually KNOW Him. lately, ive been going through a really, really hard time. im not going to go into details because they dont really matter, but some bad stuff has been happening, and i feel completely knocked down, like all of the hope has been drained. and i know that right now, i need God. I NEED him. and i know that. ive been asking my parents if we can go to church more often, and ive been looking online to find out about praying, and about God in general, and ive been reading the bible every night, just trying to know God. but the thing is, everyone says that praying should be a conversation between me and Him. but, when i pray, sometimes i feel like im just talking to myself. and i know that being able to hear God's 'voice' is something that comes with time, but im just confused, because im asking God for guidance and help, and trying to listen, but i never feel like im getting a straight answer, so i end up getting myself into more problems. they say that the 'voice' of God usually comes of spontaneous thoughts, but sometimes i feel like my mind is generating thoughts and trying to trick me into thinking its God, if that makes any sense. and lately, ive just mostly been asking for a relationship with Him, and asking for Him to comfort me, and guide me, and reassure me that what I think is from Him, really is. right now, i feel like im talking to a wall, and asking the wall for help, and then listening to what i think the wall is trying to tell me. obviously, it isnt working. and i feel like God is trying to say something to me, but im just not hearing it. and its crazy to think that He can literally just say the word, and my problems will disappear, just like that. and that is so cool to me, to think that God is that powerful, and that He is on my side. and i know that if i form a relationship with Him, i can ask for help from His amazing power, and I can feel His love. But, i know that He wont really want to help me if i dont have a relationship with Him. and i also wonder if He is telling me 'no' to what im asking, but im not sure, because i feel like im talking to a wall!! and my preacher says to never lose heart with God, and with trying to talk to Him, and making Him a part of your life, and also to never lose heart with your prayers. But, i dont know what God is trying to tell me.
I feel like Im missing something, or doing something completely wrong. but, i had little to no guidance on forming this kind of relationship growing up, so im trying to figure it out on my own, and obviously it isnt working out too well. i want that kind of dialogue that other people say they have with Him! i want to be able to just tell Him everything, and know what His answers are. i really am trying my best! but im messing up somewhere!! where am i going wrong :(|||Jesus is God and He loves you with an infinite love! Jesus speaks the truth to us by His Word, the Bible.
Jesus forgives all sins. That is what Jesus came for, because we are sinners, and Jesus came to pay for our sins upon Himself.
Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead. So to be in heaven and not hell, believe in Jesus Christ to save you, that easy! When you believe in Jesus to save you, then you are forgiven all sins past and future, no matter what those sins are, and you will be in heaven no matter what. John 3:16!
Jesus loves you! Pray and tell Jesus that you believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and ask Him to come into your life, and He will! We are not saved by works (works cannot pay for our sins), we are only saved by believing in Jesus Christ to save, and it is that simple :) Then ask Jesus to bless you and direct you, and He will!

Once you see who Jesus is then you can choose to believe in Him. If you choose Jesus then a transformation will take place and you will be saved. Jesus taught the deciples to pray with the Lords prayer (mathew 6:9). You can just say the Lords prayer or saying short simple prayers are good too. Remember Jesus is the source of Christianity and we come to the Father through Jesus. Prayer, Reading Gods word and Obedience of Gods Commandments bring us closer to our God.|||Be patient and wait on His wonderous works, He will come to you - with patience comes good things.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) so if you do not fear God, then you do not have wisdom, which means that you do not have God because God is wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24). You have to live by every word of God as Jesus commands in Matthew 4:4. God is the Scripture (not the cover, ink, or paper, but the word [see John 1:1, 14; Galatians 3:8; Revelation 19:13]). Everything that the Bible says is to be believed.

You have to quiet the chatter in your mind and feel God with your heart. It might help to say to God "I want to know you, I want you to guide me, but I don't know how. Please help me to open my heart to you and to feel your message." Then just quietly wait. He will guide you to him even if there's no dramatic sign right away. And you don't need to know even that he is guiding you for it to work. He will take care of you. Seek and you will find, ask and you will receive.
You already have a relationship with God. He is there with you and hears you.
