What would you do with a completely empty school?

My current school is going to be knocked down soon, and they are going to build my new school on the field. This means that the area which is now the school is going to be transformed into playing fields. I think it is waste to just flatten the old school ( which will cost 拢500 000), so can you think of any better ideas? i.e a homeless hostel|||It depends on why the old building is being torn down. If it is because it is structurally unsound, it needs to be taken down before it falls down.|||Make office space......|||homeless shelter soundss good donate to a major charity for them to do what they please... something along those lines would definitely be the way to go|||Hi. Volunteers could be there for after school programs/baby sitting/ feeding homeless. Peace|||A rehab/detox center would be good if you can find one to take it over.

You might have a complaint from the school on that one though.

Also it could be used as a center for homeless families like you said. We have one in Jacksonville called the scholzbacher center. They house a family in a single room unit until they have saved enough money working (they help them find jobs too) to get an apt. Look at their website you will get a better idea of what they do. Maybe they would be interested in the building, send them the info.

That or an old folks home, hope I helped...|||Almost the same thing is happening at my school. We are turning it into a charity center for a new local charity called groups. The charity needed a place to work in, so now they have one for free. Groups is realy good they will help kids from my school and from others all around my town to make friends and work with teachers.

It sounds like your school could do someting like this with this kind of charity.

good luck.
