How much would it cost to knock down two walls?

Im moving to georgia and there is a room im making into an entertainment room but i want to knock down the two walls and replace the walls completely with a big *** window from the floor up and from wall to wall i want do this for two walls right beside each other by the way they are walls that are on the outer side of the house the arent walls that disconnect rooms (I live out in the woods a little ways so no peepers to worry about) but how much would that cost if you can even tell me but also if its a load bearing wall what will need to be done like will i need a pillar or is there a way to take the load of the wall without a pillar or anyway to take the weight out of the ceiling so its not a load bearing wall?|||First you can, if you can, go up into the attic and see if it is a load bearing wall. If it looks a lot taller and thick then the rest of the cross members, then it is, if not then you just take out the walls. I would cut out a small piece of dry wall first and look to see what is going on, off in a corner of them, if you see jack studs holding up a header, it is load bearing. If it isn't you can take out the walls yourself, just make sure there are no electric lines in the wall, or just turn it off. if there are plugs ins in the wall watch out for lines.|||Contact a structural engineer if you want to add floor to ceiling windows in an outer wall. The professionals can tell you what is involved in this and an estimate of the work and people needed to do it.
